Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood is a great resource for sexual health education, STI and pregnancy prevention and pregnancy planning. They also can be a resource for emergency HRT treatment if you have had a disruption with your primary care provider. You can find them by clicking here. Vaya-Local Managment Reource
Vaya is your GO-TO in regards to accessing mental health resources. They act as a local management for community mental health agencies, information/resources for Medicaid, Targeted Case Management, IDD service, Supported Employment, TBI and more. They also host a 24/7 Emergency Crisis number which is 1-800-849-6127. Their website can be accessed here.

WNCAP of Asheville
“WNCAP provides equitable access to care and reduces harm from HIV, Hepatitis C, and drug use.” They provide free STI testing, education and support, including free condoms. They also offer a free needle exchange program and follow a harm reduction strategies to support those in all stages of recovery.

Tranzmission provides education, advocacy, and support for non-binary and transgender people in Western Carolina. They offer Youth and Family Programs, support for changing your name, and a Transformers Support Group. Read more here.

The Giving Spoon
The Giving Spoon is a local ‘soup kitchen’. They provide free meals on Monday and Thursday from 3 pm. to 5:15 p.m. Meals can be delivered to your home or picked up at the Bryson City Presbyterian Church. NAMI- National Alliance on Mental Health
NAMI provides education about and works to reduce the stigma around mental health needs. You can access their website to learn more. They offer support groups, trainings and a helpline. You can call 1-800-950-6224 M-F 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or text Helpline to 62640. There is a local NAMI group which meets out of Franklin. You can call them at 347-1351 for more information.
